Deadly Prank

Hey everyone, this is Laura! Long time, no see!!!

While in Ireland I've been learning some awesome new words to bring back and start a new trend in the states. Here's a list of what we've found interesting:

Dodgy = Shady/Sketchy
Cheeky = Mischievous/Smart aleck
Rubbish = Trash
Plasters = Band-Aids
Plattes = Braids
Jumper = Hoodie
Bin = Trash can
Deadly = Wicked/Awesome
Savage = Cool

I'd like to say that we've been having an amazing time here in Ireland working w/the kids camp. The kids are practically in awe that we're from America. It's been so much fun helping them learn about Jesus through their different activities. I have to say, it's quite exhausting! :D

After kids camp everyday, we pass out leaflets in the area (similar to how we do it at Woodlake). By the end of the week we will have passed out around 1000 leaflets. Which is A LOT, let me tell you! What's even cooler is that the mailboxes are slots on the doors.

After 2 hours of passing out leaflets today, while we were on our way to pick up the rest of the gang, the driver told us that he had a message from PJ (the head pastor). Once everyone got in the van he said that we would continue to pass out leaflets for 2 more hours and skip our planned events for the evening, including dinner. As soon as a I heard that, I about DIED! Especially since it was cold and rainy, just like typical Ireland weather. A few kilometers down the road though, he turned around and told us he was just joking. Such a relief came over us; several of us almost started crying with joy! It was totally a deadly joke!
